Environmental Management
Environmental Management
At Genco Oil TOO, environmental protection and continuous monitoring are integral parts of our industrial safety management system. Our efforts are guided by a comprehensive environmental management policy aligned with the international ISO 14001 standard.
In 2020, an independent audit confirmed our full compliance with ISO 14001:2019. A central element of our approach is the shift from focusing solely on eliminating harm to nature, towards proactively identifying potential environmental risks and implementing measures to prevent man-made impacts before they occur.
Stakeholder Engagement
When developing new projects, Genco Oil TOO conducts public consultations to ensure transparency. During these sessions, stakeholders are informed about the potential environmental consequences of planned activities and are given access to relevant documentation.
The company also collaborates with scientific and research institutions to design new environmental protection initiatives and introduce advanced eco-technologies. Biodiversity preservation programmes, for example, are being developed in partnership with the A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution (RAS).
We maintain open dialogue with government authorities through our annual ecology conferences, which bring together representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Federal Service for the Supervision of Natural Resources (Rospridrodnadzor). These forums provide an opportunity to address challenges in current environmental legislation, explore innovative regulatory approaches, discuss strategies for eliminating accumulated ecological damage, and review global trends in environmental policy.
